Self esteem & confidence
Even though we learn many things growing up, we do not often learn the art of self
acceptance and how to be confident within ourselves. This leads to a number of
issues we later struggle with some of which include difficulties making
decisions, staying in undesirable situations (or with undesirable partners or
companies) for 'too long', not taking calculated risks, not trusting our own
intuition and judgment, getting stuck in a rut, not looking after ourselves (ie
health) well or failing to set clear, health boundaries in friendships, families
and romantic liaisons. At the heart of a healthly self esteem, we accept and
embrace our weaknesses and we build on our strengths. We take on feedback rather than get defensive. We back ourselves up and stand up for ourselves and we still do this with humility and empathy for others.
